Had a great time on the A. Smith Bowman distillery tour yesterday in Frederickburg, VA. Virginia’s oldest and largest purveyor of spirits. It was a wonderful complimentary tour and tasting full of great details on the history and process. They are known worldwide for their wonderful small batch and single barrel bourbons. Unfortunately no Virginia Rye Whiskey in production currently although they have done some well received small batch offerings in the past. They do have a very nice limited edition rye grain gin for sale in the gift shop currently. This place is definitely well worth stopping in for anyone who loves whiskey.
